17 NOVEMBER 2022
This years SIGA Symposium on Thursday 17th November at the Bio21 Institute, 30 Flemington Road, Parkville (a short distance from our original venue of the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, Melbourne). The SIGA Symposium is being held the day prior to the 2022 Peter Mac SABR Symposium (being held at the same venue) and we highly recommend you consider attending both symposia. This year our symposium has a CNS focus – Evolution of Radiosurgery – What next?
The program is shaping up well and I am confident you will find it informative and engaging.
Sessional highlights include –
-
A multidisciplinary review of surgical and radiotherapy/radiosurgery management of benign skull base disease, including a case based panel
-
A peri-operative radiosurgery session covering aspects of pre and post op SRS/SRT, imaging and management of radionecrosis and a practical ‘How to guide’ for cavity SRS/SRT.
-
A session on next generation stereo including sequencing with systemic agents and advancements in both brain and body stereotactic treatment with MR-Linac
We have our international speaker, Dr Dheerendra Prasad, Medial Director, Department of Radiation Medicine; Professor of Radiation Medicine, Neurosurgery and Oncology, Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center confirmed to deliver a range of exciting and innovative talks.
We are also fortunate to have a Keynote Address by our own Australian Radiosurgery leader – Dr Mike Dally to share insights on ‘Lessons learned during a career in Radiosurgery.’
The symposium will be of great value to all members of the radiosurgery team and we will ensure that this years SIGA Symposium will be informative, memorable and in person!!!
